Maybe a good deal for anyone looking for a 10x6 silk rug, listed as Hereke, but doubt for the price ($2,700)...any opinions?

my guess is it's real going by the knots and arrangement. Even if it needs a wash, it's worth it at that price so long as everything else is proper and excellent I would grab it or see if they may even go lower

Yes, silk on silk Kayseri. Not very fine, but original. If condition is good, go for it. Price is great.

Checked this morning and this rug sold ($2,700), the listing claimed the owner purchased in Turkey in the 1990's and paid around $18,000!! Only 13 people looked at the listing before it sold, I wasn't planning on buying it, as it's too big for my space, just like to see what's out there and try to learn.

No wonder it sold so fast - the price was extremely low. If you go to Turkey today and want to buy a rug like this, you will need to pay a whole lot more, even for a used rug.

The listing is back up (the buyer must have read this site and noticed it's not Hereke), the listing is changed to call it Kayseri and now the price is $2,500...in case anyone needs a large silk rug!
