My grandmother has traveled all over the world and has brought back some beautiful rugs. She has given me three to use but I only have space for one, because they are so big. She bought all of her rugs from the countries in which I would assume they were made. So, I can't fit them and she doesn't want them so I am trying to find out more about them and their value. I have only photographed one, and below are the images, it is a navy and red 12'2" x 8'10". It has fringe as shown in the pictures, anything anyone could tell me would be much appreciated, where it's from (she can't remember) it did have a tag on it a long time ago for I think about $5600 but I believe she bought it in the 70's or early 80's. Thank you all in advance, please contact me if you have any questions or info.
thanks,
sarah

looks like an indo kashan. probably from mid to late 80's. not worth too much now, but is a nice hand knotted rug to last many more years.

I am assuming it is machine knotted. Is that correct? There are variances in the knots, but it is not directly attached to the rug itself.
thanks
