Ebay may be one good place. Go to 'antiques' and 'rugs', then you can search by size and age. There are various sellers who sell old rugs in far less than perfect condition, which are often otherwise attractive. (Nice design, colors, etc.)

I agree with shareen, there are some good rugs to be had there. This is sometimes a good search
