I recently inherited about 8 rugs of various age, size, style, and condition. I'm doing my best to educate myself and appraise them using Rug Rag's appraisal but need some expert second opinions.
Here is the first, and one I suspect to be less valuable/authentic:
8'2"x9'1"
5 colors
Appears to have coarse 49KPI.
I believe my father said he paid around $3k for it new form a department store.

Is this just another manufactured department store modern rug? Approx. Value?

This is the suspected cheapo, others I believe to be more genuine to follow...

Here is the next rug #2. This one seems to be fairly old and better quality. I played with several variables in the RugRag appraisal and it gave me between $333 to $1100, depending on age.
This is 3'9"x10'7"
7 colors
160KPI
Overall good condition, but one end is worn down lower than the other. One can see where the closer larger design is more faded from this. By this i mean the center of the rug. the lighter traingle on the lower left is the sun shining into the room, not fade. There is some (forgetting the term right now) where the solid blocks of color fade into slightly lighter variations, mostly in the blue. The edge is worn off is some areas, as shown in the second photo.

What are the origins of this design? Should I repair the edges first before selling? Approx value?

More to come...

Thank you RugPro!
After changing the country for the first one to "Nepal" in the RR Appraiser, the price went from $674 to $2033. That is more in line with what my father said he paid than the original price. Does that sound right?

I have 5 more, I think the rest are probably better than any of these.
