Hello! I have been looking at websites all night long and this is by far the most useful. Thank you in advance for any help you can give me!
Near my home, there is a fine furniture store of long standing and good reputation that is, unfortunately, in liquidation. I purchased this rug yesterday and I am considering returning for another, but I want to make sure that I am actually getting a good deal first!
The rug was sold as a hand-tufted Indian Agra. I do believe that they were mistaken, and that it is actually hand-knotted. It is 9x6, 100% wool, and is completely unworn as it is new. I paid about $550 for the rug. If that was a good value, I'll return for another, if it was not, then I will consider this a lesson learned. (I think the pattern and colors are lovely, so even if it's not a good deal I'm not too worried.)
Please let me know--bargain, or not?
Edit: It was also sold as being dyed with vegetal dyes.
