I inherited several oriental rugs which I need to sell. I would appreciate your helping me identify what they are and what I might be able to sell each one for. Thanks in advance.
The first rug is 125 3/4" x 93" (not including the fringe). The pile is about 1”. It is in great shape with very little wear. It is on the floor in a second living room that we never use.

Looks to me like an Iranian Bijar early 4th quarter 20th century. Have no idea on value.

It is a indian replication of an Iranian Bidjar - or better, a mixture of the colors and Herati design of Bidjar and the design of Sarab Mashachky rugs from the Tabriz area in Iran. It is of very good quality, New Zealand wool and 12/60 weave. If it is clean and in very good shape, you can calculate ca. 6 - 8 USD per squarefoot for a used rug. From the color setup it was probably made in the late 1980 or early 1990, but this type of rug is still in some production programs in India.

ca. is the German abbreviation of circa, English speakers tend to use c. instead.

Yes. (And since my brother lives in Frankfurt, next time I'll be visiting him, I'll try to plan in a trip to your shop.)
