I saw a Hereke carpet in antique shop, the seller provided me a certificate as Hereke made by Cinar family which is one of the best carpet makers in Turkey, but the signature shows it made by Ozeipk which is the best Hereke maker and out of production since many years and his carpets are very rare.
The carpet size is 1.85 m x 2.75 m - the knots per cm is 10 x 10 the material is silk on silk
He asked 30000 USD for it and I am afraied to pay this amount for fake carpet.
I appreciate your help guys.

Looks like original. But for 30 000$ you can buy larger: http://rover.ebay.com/ro...9&mtid=824&kw=lg

To me it looks like china silk 300l. I am 99% sure about that. The colors, the way the silk reflects light, surface - looks chinese double knot high quality to me.

there aren't enough photos to say anything. Especially for a rug of this type. Please post more images

What is needed are close-up pictures of fringe and selvages plus a pic of the back with some measure-tape (or a quarter dollar, if at hand).

I don't understand how you can contemplate buying this rug from a Turkish antique shop while someone else is selling it in England, with photos taken on an English patio. Well, never mind ... http://rover.ebay.com/ro...p;icep_item=230464912477

Not enough picture to say. But even if it was a 10 by 10 authentic Turkish Hereke rug, the price is too high - you can get it for half price :)
