This rug is up for sale at tomorrow's estate sale. This is the only picture I have, and I apologize fornot having the requred pictures.
I know nothing about the rug except it is listed as an antique bokhara for a maximum of $200. I have become a fan of Turkoman especially Tekke rugs, and is this a rug that would be good to add to my"collection". What made me think it could be old? The black lines through the tekke gul and the Gurbaghe guls although I realize the gurbaghe is common. Because the borders can't be seen it is probably too much to ask for even a "good guess".
My rug addiction has gone too far so the only way I should get this rug is that it's simply too good to pass up.
Do the guls reflect any specific time period, and is it too good to pass up? First of course is this one high resolution picture enugh to say anything.
