RugPro - a couple brought it in yesterday to see what we could do in terms of repair and cleaning. We've given them quotes for doing cleaning and fringe/selvage repair which they were happy to do. However we also told them we could have it sent back to Iran to be repaired to a higher standard where they might be able to solve the old moth damage as well - we've done this for massive repairs such as for this
Nain rug but it will cost several thousand £s. I'm also not sure how well they'll be able to match the dye for an old rug - it was fairly easy for the Nain.
It is a very nice rug and they seem to have the money to spend on it for sentimental value but we'd like to be able to tell them if repairing it would be worth the money.
