This is a 25"'X37" silk rug that a young man brought back from the Near East with visions of doublng his money. This and two other rugs cost him $3,000. You other two are 3X5 and not quality rugs.

This one knots are 22X22 as far as I could count on the floor of a parking garage. It has some real nice colors. He wants $300 for the rug since he hasn't had any offers and finally realizes he has been taken.

Is this a Persian rug? Ebay has alot of little silk rugs like this that are new and not well made. This rug seem more legitimate.

Thanks

The fringe looks like it was sewn on after it was made, the design is not too exciting, is it supposed to be silk on silk? (Did you do the burn test?) I don't know if it's Persian, as I'm new to this whole rug thing, but I have bought some nice silk rugs off eBay and I think I'd pass on this one...even at $300, I've gotten 3x5' pure silk, more advanced design for $350-400, I'd keep looking, there are deals to be found, as a lot of people need the $ right now.
Here is a photo of a silk/silk Chinese 4x6' (paid $400)...the one you posted has simular design elements, but may be art silk.

Nice rug. It is a replication of hereke, made in china. Quality is ok, 260 line chinese silk. It is a new rug, therefore you can not compare with unsed stuff from ebay, which must be cheaper. Fair price in a trustworthy shop would be around 300 - 400 US$. The fringes are original.

This looks like a Chinese silk or artificial silk rug (doesn't look best quality silk to me) - replica of Turkish silk Hereke rug. $ 300 would be a fair price.

This is a chinese artificial silk carpet. I agree with carpetview. Replica of Turkish hereke silk. You can buy this carpet in New York around $400 I recommend you to not wash this carpet. Colors will more likely to run. Good luck
