My reading stated that bokara, tekke and other such words are typically misused. Therefore, maybe you'd help me out with this 54"X76" very nice looking rug.
I know it's newer, but the fringe, is it goat hair? If I remember correctly, one other time RugPro stated that the blue fringe is a Pakistani trait.

It has streaking or abrash in the middle of the rug that is also present on the back side. I might be misusing abrash but the marks can't be from age and it would seem strange that the weaver would use different lot of dye for just a few strands.

Anyway any help would be appreciated. I simply found some of the different aspects of the rug interesting. Also what is the name of the guls in this particular rug.

Thanks,

Your rug - original Tekke from Turkmenistan (or Bukhara as it is called everywhere except the country where they produced). 50-60 years old

Much appreciated. I guess I shouldn't even put in my guesses since it seems like I'm always off base, and I could at least spell Bukhara correctly

Bukhara the rug is in very good condition for a 50-60 year old rug. Are the colors synthetic or vegetible, and does this rug have much value?

Thanks

synthetic colors and I think it's a 20-30 year old rug.
