This is represented to me as "a Shiraz from the early 1900s".
Even given my inexperience in such I am first inclined to think it *may* be from the 20s or 30s but.....as I said, inexperienced.d'oh!

The photos are fairly large. There are 14 of them on one page so the page may take a little while to load.
Actually, I think the photos make it look a little worse than it is. Really not a lot of wear but it seems to look like it in a couple of the photos.
Any thoughts and opinons on this rug, including possible value, greatly appreciated.

Dyes too bad. I think that this carpet of 1950 '. I do not think that anyone that would give more than 200 $ on Ebay

Looks like extensive bleeding of the red. Also guard border missing on both ends. One photo even looks like there may be some markering, but can't tell for sure.

Bleeding of the red - yep.
Guard border missing on each end - duh, "if it had been a snake it would have bit me."
Markering....
strictly for my education.....which photo and what am I looking for? (I higher res of each pic)

It's photo 3: there seems to be some of the foundation showing that looks reddish but shouldn't. This could be the result of extensive bleeding or someone took a marker and coloured in a little where the foundation showed through. I really can't tell. (Also am no expert, just have seen some markered rugs here and there.)
