This carpet is from india. Wool and cotton and partly artificial silk. I definitely think very expensive.. I success you offer $1500.

The rug is not 18 x 9 ft, you can tell from the pics it is well in regular dimensions. It must be a 12 x 9 - the proportions are regular. I am not sure that it is indian and has artificial silk. Parvizian in Tabriz has a production in 55 raj with fine wool and silk, with natural dyes. It looks a lot like it. The colors would match Parvisian rugs. To give correct information, a detail pic from the back would help. If it was a Parvisian, the 6000.00 would be absolutely ok. They have a website, but it needs to be updated. But on the Homepage there is a rug on the left in black with floral design (naghtsche) that is familiar. also look at the color combinations and design. Find it at http://www.toprug.com.
