We received this rug from relatives who purchased it on a trip to Persia about 10 years ago. We haven't used it much as it has been in a back guest room, rarely used. There is only a little damage to a few of the fringes - shortened. It is approx. 9x12. We are considering selling this b/c of the economy/financial reasons. Anyone have any idea of what kind of rug this is or what it is worth?? http://picasaweb.google....8MA3qQgQ?feat=directlink

This rug is made in China. Are you sure that it was bought during a trip to Persia?

That is what they told us. Do you know anything else about it, more details? Thanks for your help!

chinese 90 line carpet. that refers to the knot density. it's probably from the 80's has a peking design. a few dealers have these in old stock going for $2400 for 9x12. used private party you're lucky to get $500 in very good condition. problem is there are so many of these that people are trying to sell http://www.rugrag.com/po...e-Rugs-and-Carpets.aspx
