Hi, I just got this rug. The seller believes that its wool/pure silk persian handmade rug made in Iran. however, i am not so sure. wool is real but silk might not be. is it handmade or machine made? any info on this is much appreciated. many thanks in advance! julie

I believe that this carpet machine made. I think there is no real silk in carpet

I am afraid this carpet is machine made and they didn't even use natural material. I advice everyone who wants to buy a carpet on ebay to be very very careful. You see a lot of poor quality carpet on ebay.

Definitely NOT natural silk... and most probably not handmade. Sorry :)
