I had no idea that they had such an impressive stash of rugs and most it seems
from one benefactor. Why exactly they would sell all these at once and at such
a bad time in the market is beyond me to figure out. New acquisitions they say but
to me letting go of these relics is in my reasoning unconscionable at best and I won't
say what I really think. Anyway they had quite a few in the top ten list.

They had a few more rugs in the auction that didn't make the list that are worth
a look.

You would think they could loan these and get many great paintings in exchange.
I think they only got about 2 million bucks which isn't much.

I think it is horrible that they sold these pieces. Some of the pieces are irreplaceable. Sad.

I had a crush on Pearl Carpet of Baroda.. Unluckily for me, it was already sold.. d'oh! And it was worth the price, really!!! It was really cute, love the designs and the color combinations..
