Help with origin, time period of this rug

Hello-
New to this forum. This seems to be the right place to ask about this rug.
It has been in the family for more than 60 years.
It measures about 6 feet wide by 9 feet long.
It is heavy.

Would like to know where this rug was woven (geographical region, country, locale) and the approximate date is was made.

Your carpet is made in Daghestan (Russia) in about 1920-1930. Looks like had been reduced in length.

Yes. It looks like a Geradil Gymyl from Baku. But this design you could find also into Karabagh area.
