Can anyone tell from this photo whether this new - alleged - Sarouk is Iranian? (kpsi c.121)

it does look like it could be a newer iranian rug. do you have more detailed photos like the ones listed on the site?

Alas, no, it's online, this is the most close-up one. There's one of the whole rug, I attach it. If it's Iranian and 2.5x6.5 rougly, is 170 dollars an ok price?

(I'm not really a fan of Sarouks, but my man is old-fashioned American, and he liked this one on the photo.)

seems reasonable a price so long as there are no other issues like odor or color run and that's cost to the door. cant say for sure if it's from iran but looks like it probably is.

Your first gues was right, it is a 1970 Saruk from Iran. And at the down border i believe to see color run or something like that.

Even with some color run it's not a bad price. If theres a lot and it is really heavy i would be careful. it's really about what you'd be willing to pay with these ebay rugs. they don't make a tremendous amount of money on these types of pieces, they really rely on turnover.

If there is bleeding, it's very very little.

The problem with this rug, I believe, (there's always a problem with ebay rugs of the mass-sellers) is that it narrows at the top end. I attach photos, I turned the top photo round. Does this diminish the value a lot?

Strangely, the ebay sellers ended the listing, just when I was about to buy it, just a few minutes ago, they say they can't find the rug anymore .
