Hi all,
Please forgive me if this has been addressed elsewhere in the forums; I've searched and have not found anything, so...
My brother just bought a 1907 tudor mansion (well, *I* think it's a mansion!). While I think it was a shame for him to take out the carpeting that was used as stair-runners and landing cover (it wasn't original to the house, but is age-appropriate enough to warrant similar historical integrity), the good news is that he gave it to me to use in my 1915 bungalow. The only thing I really know about the fabric is that it is wool.
I have much more than I need and will probably end up trimming it down to make stair runners and large area rugs.
My question is... where can I go to have the rug cut to size and rebound? I don't even know where to start as far as who to call or what types of businesses to call. The internet has actually yielded very little information unless I'm using incorrect terminology (which is entirely possible).
If it helps, I'm in the Milwaukee, WI area.
*Any* advice is greatly appreciated!
Thanks so much for your time and insight.
Leah
