Hi, I just bought this rug to hang on a wall in my house, but I would like to know about it. I know nothing about rugs but it looks kool and the colors are nice earthy tones, although simple looking, it makes me just gaze at it and think why so simple?

It is 5'-1" x 7'-6"

It is ruff like wool

It's the same on both sides

Hi,

Your rug is a Kilim (that is a kind of flatweave, as opposed to a rug with pile, say), it is probably made from wool, and it uses design elements that you can find on antique Anatolian (Turkish) Kilims.

The experts here (I'm not one) should be able to tell you more.

I can send other pictures if that would help. I thought Native American Indian at first, that would be nice.

Thank you for your help, I liked it because it had a nice look to it. My friends ask questions, but I did'nt know anything about it not it's age or its origin.

Any other information would be great, even a web sight that I could look it up on.
