This rug was salvaged from my father-in-laws house. It most likely belonged to an older great aunt. Is this rug worth cleaning, keeping, or passing on or is it destined to be a donor rug for something else...?
While the majority of the piece seems to be in ok shape, there are some pretty significant holes (probably moth); a tear, and some edge damage. It is also fairly musty. Any information on the age or origin even if it is machine-made? It is almost 10 x 15.

Thanks for any help with identification.

That's a machine made rug but some would love to have it and a good wash and airing out would get the
musty smell out.

Do you have any other information other than it is a machine rug? Do you know the age or origin? It is a cotton foundation with what I am assuming is a wool pile. It is fairly reversible except that the back has a lower pile wool. I was just curious. Our weather probably isn't the best at the moment for home cleaning and airing out this large of a rug so it will have to wait for spring.
Thanks
