The fact that the tags are still on it makes me really curious as to what the pros on here think. Striking rug regardless.

it looks to be a very tight, very even weave. the colors arent great, and we would need to see more images. prices of these fluctuate a lot, and I would not trust the price on the tag is necessarily what they paid. but that's just me.

I agree on the price tag--isn't it common practice to inflate the price on the tag and offer huge discounts, with the seller still coming out ahead?

RugPro does it look handwoven? The fringe throws me for a loop--it's woven in a way I'm not familiar with. To me the tightness/regularity of the weave and way the fringe looks attached makes me wonder if its machine made.

But then again it's a rug I'm not familiar with and I've only been trying to learn about rugs for a couple months...

Anyone else want to chime in?

It is hand made, all indicators would point to this being hand knotted in Iran, probably tabriz, possibly bidjar, although the latter with less likelihood.

Looks like Tabriz to me. As far as price $750 seems cheap for it if there aren't any problems and you want to use it.
There might be some moth bites near the stapled on vinyl tag, I'd ask about that and ask if there are any more. I'm
sure those colors aren't in right now but what can you do?

Thank you all for your valuable input. Tomorrow I am going to visit the seller to see this rug in person and make my decision. I have one more question, this rug has leather gripping so can I give this one for cleaning or not?

The leather edges are sewn onto rugs that have a tight weave. Often times, rugs that are fresh off the loom curl under on the sides because the rug is woven so tightly. After a few years of use, the leather edges are not usually needed. You don't need to worry about cleaning the rug with them on, and if the rug lies flat when they do finally start to fall off, you don't need to worry about replacing them. Best of luck with your purchase.
