I have read so much about rugs but the questions I have I cant find an answer to (this am I found out a little) but still can anyone tell about this. the rug is 6' 7" x 4' 3". it depictes hunters on horses with arrows and swords killing lion like beasts and there are rabbits what looks like a pig and a elk? there are 20 hunters and a medallion. the carpet is very thin maybe 1/8" thick and I am confused. the ends are part of the rug, not sewn on tassels, the colors in the rug also are part of the ends then the ends are stitched so it does not come apart, I was confused about that the color on the FRONT differs from the color on the back on the direct opposite. the border where you see dull blue on the front IS redish on the exact back side etc, I did read about depressed warps? that sometimes the backs are doubled up and look like a cardboard pattern rather then the exact pattern like most hand made carpets, BUT I am still unsure of its origin and construction or age. No need to be sorry, I was not looking for a reply or asking a question that would have someone feel the need to apologize. and sorry does not answer my question, SO can someone tell me why the rug has a color blue border on the front and directly behind it its red? and its possibly origin age or construction, is it a karastan machine made? from when? why is the rugs edges not bound like every other rug I see on line and of course the colors on the bottom dont match the colors on top.

SO its piled? is that why the colors on the front dont match on the exact side on back? I have seen hand made and machine made pile rugs and although im told by many (some say machine some say hand made) who actually CAN tell me or ACTUALLY knows? everyone seems to be an expert but no one offers some sort of ability to point me into the direction of HOW its made and IF its machine made WHY the color difference

It appears to be a wilton woven machine made rug. Do you see the dead yarn where the fringe is. It is done with a jaquard mechanism. Just like a piece of fabric , If a color of blue is on top and you flip the peice over it will be red. This is what I mean while talking about dead yarn or burrried yarn. Hope it helps.
