seller is asking $2500 and states it's an 11x14 sarouk that is approximately 100 years old...

now it seems as though there is some significant wear in one of the upclose photos (knot heads showing through), but i can't tell for sure...also, something tells me i should be seeing the blue weft/warp (not sure which one it is), but i don't...

...to me, it's a very interesting design and beautiful, with many different colors, but also seems to be poorly "painted"... i would like to know what everyone else thinks...

thanks!

It's not a Sarouk! Overpriced.

Ed is right. It is not a Saruk...but a Lilian or Mehraban from about 1930-40. Yes, seems it is re-colored.

I was on my way somewhere and just had time for a quick answer yesterday. Just wanted you to know it wasn't what they
were saying it was in case you were pressured for time.
