Several post down, I posted a silk Chinese rug I bought from a local individual. They have another 8X10 rug forthe same $750 price.
I only have one high resolution picture that I recieved from them. I have seen the rug. It is a 356 knot count and is in prestine condition. I was concentrating on the first rug I bought so I do need to re-exam the rug. It is silk, I believe, but I'm not sure if it is just a silk foundation.
Someone told me the fringe usually gives an indication of a chinese rug. Due to the first rug being Chinese I thought this rug, with the fringe knots having somewhat the look of uniform "pineapples" that is was Chinese. Is there any thought that it could be an isfahan?
I have delayed in buying the rug. Should I run out and buy it as quick as possible? There is an auction this weekend with supposedly has some fine isfahan which I might want to see before I buy this one. However, if I really don't know if I can find a better rug than this for the price. Any thoughts? I've been struggling with this for days.
Thanks
