Hi

I have seen a rug online and would like some advise on whether this would be a good purchase or not. This is the details on the rug:-

We have sold genuine Persian (made in Iran) rugs on Trademe for a couple of years. We only sell genuine, pure wool, hand knotted rugs.

This auction is for a wonderful, semi antique, Persian Isfahan rug 303cms x 417cms. Dating to around the 1940s but graded as 'Excellent'.

Pure wool on a cotton foundation. Guarenteed Hand knotted.

The colours are closest to the second picture. Flash has been used in the main photo to show detail. The colours are more gentle when under normal light.

Condition:- Graded as excellent and professionally cleaned prior to leaving Iran.

I have included the three pictures with the rug.

Gurks.
Do you really need this rug? It is a Najafabad near Isfahan. Probably 1970. Here in Germany on Ebay you can shoot them for about 400,- Euro.

Thanks Chris.

Not at the US$1300 they are looking for. I need that trip to Europe for good rugs. Thanks very much for the advice.
