Another purchase I made online. The person that sold me the carpet had no idea of where the carpet was from. It is 5'5" x 3'.

Hi gurks.

It is a newer Baluch rug. What is your criterion for buying rugs...sampling...selling...usage?

Hi Chris

I buy for my own use. Normally online and rugs that I really like. Most of my rugs are really good value. I paid about $110 for this one.

Try to read a bit more about old rugs and focus purchasing better one good than 5 less. In a few years you will be grateful.

Thanks Chris

I will do further reading. I am trying to consolidate my collection and get some good quality rugs but it is difficult here in NZ. The choices are limited and the quality is often questionable. I have read a lot and have a lot more to learn. Not sure at this stage which rugs to move on to make room for better ones.

Ah, yes, Newzealand...not the place for great and important old rugs.
Uuh...and the high cost for shipping! Better a journey for about one year to Europe, heavy shopping, a skip full of rugs and carpets...you never need anything for future!

I have trips planned to New Jersey and France in the next couple of years.
