hello i recently bought this runner at the flea market was wondering if you could tell where this rug comes from .
any help would be greatly appreciated .
it is a 11ft 2inch x 2ft inch runner

Its a hand made kilim. to determine origin and approx age we'd just need to see photos of the fringe going into the rug.. The rug does have some conditional issues as well as color run. monetarily not worth much, but has some charming features. Do you mind me asking how much you paid?

You have a slit tapestry kilim like rugpro said with a lot of damage mainly color run which is hard to resolve easily. I think it's Bessarbarian too which I think was a country at one time near Romania. Correcting all the problems would out weight the value of the piece in my opinion.

well i will repair it over time . i did not pay much it was 15.00 us dollars so eithier way i can enjoy it .
i was told to leave it in direct sun will help the bleeding colors i alos have not washed it yet only started to secure the big tear on the end .

well thanks for all the info i will see if i can get a picture of the frindge for you too .
