Hi Guys, My mom has been hoarding some rugs. Some are really in bad shape. I do know that there are some good ones in there too. I have to start learning about them. What better place than on "Rug Rag Forum". Here is a photo of one of them. I will take lots more photos in the future, but can anybody tell me a little bit about this one?

Hello and welcome!

The one rolled up appears to be machine made. this one we would need much better photographs. they made a page on the main site for more detailed images that help in identification and "value". The design of this is kerman. I cannot say for sure if it's handmade, but it may be. Although I say it's a kerman design, it does not mean it's from Iran. I'd need to see more images :)

here's a link

Hi Rugpro,

Thanks for the quick look. I will take some better photos now that I know how to do. I have about 15 or 20 rugs. It will take us some time to evaluate and get them ready to photograph. I think some of the ones with lower value we will keep for our own use. Others will be available for sale in the future. Please keep a lookout on this forum, and I will post more information. Thanks Bob, the rugtalker

I do not think it is machine made...looks like Yazd, maybe Kerman. Seems to be hand made. The frings look like cotton, i guess to see knots and kilim. ...but the one in the backside is REALLY machine made,-)...
