Hello Folks, I seen this here rug on ebay and wanted to see your considerations on this piece. Im new here to the rug forum and rugs alltogether and wanted to run this by the pros to make sure this here piece is the real deal. I thought it would look nice in my entry way and all that fancy stuff, so what do you all think? My sister in law bought a rug on ebay but it wasnt what she was expecting for a piece and so i thanks for your time on telling me on this piece. item says its silk and wool how will wool stand up in an entry way for a small piece like this?

This rug is not a silk pile, it is a wool pile on wool foundation. The rug looks to be a nice piece, should hold up ok although is thinning in some areas but will probably hold up just fine. Rug is probably best called a "Bokhara Design" rather than a Tekke.

I don't disagree. The rug has no silk in it, it is a 100% wool carpet. Whether or not it's worth it is up to you, BIGDADDY. It certainly appears as though there is some good serviceable life left in the rug. Do be aware that wool foundation carpets such as this may loose fringe quicker than that of a cotton fringe, although could vary rug to rug. There are some low areas to the rug, some of which may be photographed as well as others, but expect the rug to have some "corduroy effect" in the pile.
