The Rug Rag forum is platform for those interested in Rugs to interact with others on a multi-level basis: A place to share a wealth of knowledge, interesting resources, articles, online Rugs of interest, and more importantly anything, a place to learn from other user experience in the field of Oriental Rugs provided they are posted in correct areas within the forum structure.
We ask sellers to please refrain from using threads as a medium for pointing users to your advertised items, plugging URL's of friends or associates in your network, or making general recommendations based on location. If you know of Oriental Rug website owners with relevant and informative resources who may benefit from the Rug Rag Forum, invite them to Join! We strongly encourage new users to brief themselves with FAQ, content and information already addressed in our Rug Rag archive. Please do not link to commercial sites with goods or merchandise available for sale unless it is: Relevant to the topic at hand, requested by another user, or part of your 'signature'. If for any reason one of our moderators deems a link or signature to be against the best interest of the Rug Rag Forum, we reserve the right to remove it immediately.
The forum is a place for calm and collected thoughts with topic relevant responses. Assessing rugs may take time. We welcome initial responses, however we ask users seeking information about rugs online (or sometimes even in person) to understand assessing items online is not perfect. Often evaluation is an evolution of multiple input from several individuals in the field. Additionally, inquiries or responses which stray outside of objectives outlined within categories may be deleted.
