THis rug is beautiful It's 18' 8" long (plus 3" fringe on both ends) and 3' 1" wide. It's really in great condition (could use a cleaning but not sure how) but I can't tell how old it is or the type (much less the worth) Can anyone help?? thanks so much

I've attached some add'l pics to see if they would better confirm the type of rug, etc. THANKS!!!!!

welcome to the forum mosandefer!

Looks like an early to mid 1980's hand knotted Indian rug. If you show more pics like presented here we can give better info. If it is what I think it is, figure private party in near mint condition with very little to no wear and No stains, moth damage, repairs, etc. around 350-450. Brand new retail maybe just under 1k at a showroom.

Again, better photos would help to determine origin, age, and perhaps value.

RugPro nailed it; the lattice-style fringe is a big Indo clue. I believe the design they were shooting for is a Persian Serab, with that camel color and reciprocating (trefoil?) design outer guard border.

The photos are good, but the knots are important to see.

I was caught off guard by what appears to be single weft construction. If you have detail of the back of the rug like photograph number 4 with the quarter on it that would be helpful. IMO, for this instance, it really doesn't matter to much, just a point if you're interested in more info
