This little piece finished with no bids. Asking for start of $9.95 plus $32.00 shipping.

So a couple of days later it is now on the bottom of the page as buy it now for $47.00 but with $20 shipping.

Uh, hello, that takes it from $41.95 to $67.00 from my little calculator.

Okay, it's not a terribly common piece but I find that an interesting approach to selling.

I find both phenomena which generate, promulgate, earn trust & respect.....and those which do the opposite... interesting verging on mesmerizing, forget nuclear to the health of any milieu. this is also the subject of much of my work The above, clearly door number TWO......ALONG WITH that that gorgeous Sino rug I researched so carefully and was seriously thinking of buying....first and suddenly, doubled in price, from !,500 to 3K, and I was then told it had been sold months before and was mistakenly listed in the first place.

It just takes yr breath awa, erodes the joy centering around THAT WHICH WE OUGHT TO EXPECT BY DEFAULT WHILE ALSO NOT BEING NAIVE........also, how, over time, we (tho I was surely not involved) got ourselves into the horrific mess we now find ourselves struggling desperately to get out of.......and it's all about emotional health and core values and the ability to identify with The Other.

Yet again, the end....never justifies the means.

It's a cool piece, may be contempo Afghan or Turkmenistan Turkmen production, but the price shift - who knows? Perhaps if you dug a little, you'd find it's worked for them in the past as well... Or maybe they're just looking for the perfect formula, a "sweet spot", balancing low start price/higher S/H vs. higher start price/lower S/H...
