Please forgive my ignorance but I'm a newbie here....I happened upon an estate sale and on a lark, purchased what I believe is a very good, Indian made, handknotted 100% wool oriental rug. I tried to post here previously but it seems to have disappeared. At any rate, I cannot post a photo yet, but my rug had a tag on it which was printed "JPS Carpets" and the name of the rug was written on the tag as "Royal Nazir" as far as I can tell. The rug is a nice size close to 10x14'. For now, until I can get a photo posted with more information, have you ever heard of such a rug? I paid $1600 and no matter, I love it. It features a light rust/orange color medallion in the center, surrounded by an ivory background filled with colorful flowers and a wide border. The only complaint I would have about the rug is the fringe is quite dirty although the rug appears clean, why would that be? How should I clean the fringe? I've looked but can't find anything addressing the fringe specifically. Thank you for any replies in advance.
