RugPro, I am finally on the same page and reading what I should. I am going to end my first auction since there is no bids at this point. i will then relist with the certificate. I imagine I merely put the link in the description area? I will wait until I hear from you for confirmation. The fringe salvage, etc are all in place. There are no stains, but it does need some light cleaning. I did some spot cleaning on those dark spots you see on the photos.
Again, I will wait until I hear how to "officially" place the certificate. This is so very much appreciated. I had a very illuminating talk to Iranian that I have become friends with, but whom I had never talked about rugs. Turns out he has group of friends who come gather at his jewelry store and talk about nothng but rugs. He brought in one of his 6X8 qum when I asked him about buying a ebay Kasmire. He wanted to show me what a true silk should look and feel like. The rug was a masteful work of art and went far beyond anything I had ever seen even in Atiyeh's etc. He is going to be looking for a rug for me so that I don't keep repeating the mistakes of hoping to find a diamond in the rough when I know nothing about mining or recognizing a diamond if i saw one
RugPro has been a great help in doing the same as he has. The only difference is he can look, feel and touch locally and find rugs. He's not in the rug business, but has many connection.
You might be right be right about Atiyeh's. They have said in the past that the retail operation is completely separate from the manufacturing. The label on I saw on the Kirman carried the same trademark logo as the retail story so I don't know if the family is spread around the nation. The govenor of Oregon in the early '70s was an Atiyeh.
But I'm off the subject, if you just tell me how to correctly post on ebay I'll do it. I take it I don't add any picture except possiblly one that would come up on the listing.
Thank you
