Original thread including this, The Glob rug, insane and convoluted, so I felt we should crisp this up. I just received this from Daniel, the NJ vendor who offers the Glob Rug which is in some DC warehouse, apparently:
Hi, here is the image - the rug is at a different location (our warehouse in DC) and this is the photo they sent me.. I hope its the right rug.. :-) -Daniel
I too hope this is the Glob Rug, obviously; I think it might be, given the colors. But, I had hard time counting. I also do not see any wefts. Now I learned sometimes they are buried. But it still creeps me out. Actually, I do see a trace of weft below the ruler and they are perpendicular to it. I think they were in a hurry and just put the ruler parallel to the selvedges. I ASSUME.
Also.....cause there wasn't a full image of an inch above their ruler....I hadda count half inch's worth vertically and double it. I get 14 on the vertical (U must double what I marked) and, I think 10 on the horizontal, but I am NOT SURE re the horizontal count. Looking at the knots South side of the ruler, the horizontal appears to be 12. If so, total would be 168.
Link to the Indo Kashan Glob Rug:
http://rover.ebay.com/ro...9&mtid=824&kw=lg They list it as 225 KPSI. but if it's 168, it ain no biggie. Plus it is clearly double knotted.
for an item costing close to 1K....U would think they would provide the basics going in, right? I mean, it's not broccoli, OK?
I will await, and, as always, cherish...I feedback.
