Whether and item sells or not, a vendor on ebay will have to pay a listing fee.

If an item sells, a vendor would have paid the listing fee + the final value fee. The final value fee is a percentage of the final agreed upon price for sale. Whether it be a bid, a buy it now, or an agreed offer. However, the listing fees are different for all of those, and final value fees I believe for the best offer situations may call for higher final value percentages to be paid to ebay

Thanks much for all of this. I am good at many things, selling things and business not among them, esp when those are marked by chicancery. But I thought I was not bad at researching and BUYING THINGS! I need good big cry. Can't do this until I finish my evening work, many hours hence. I joked about land mines and the reality of this arena and my endeavor I thought would require much learning but would be even fun. .The more the reality emerges, the less funny any of it becomes. It is daunting.

There is aphorism: "Bank robbers...think there are only two kinds of people: OTHER BANK ROBBERS, and people who ASPIRE TO BE bank robbers.' I think we tend to think others are like we. I see this is true for me.

just opened this rug agian on eBay.....wit da new, double price. Yep....in title they say 300 kpsi....then at bottom, they put this:

We are particularly pleased in presenting this exceptionally fine quality rug, high knotted, 500 KPSI. It is made out of all Silk pile on Silk foundation. The rug is so fine that is hard to imagine it is something to be walked on. Being a nice piece of artwork, the rug’s design is an imitation of traditional high-end Persian rug design. The elegant design, fine detailed and beautifully colors combinations, make the rug an extraordinary buy. It would look fantastic against all kinds of hardwood floors and/or with antiques.
It can be even an ideal item to use as a wall hanging and would defiantly transform any room containing it to a miniature museum.

Thennn....we have more tapdancing: they have always listed this as all silk pile. when I researched this re fragility and then asked her....she wrote back pile is only partly silk and so NOT FRAGILE RUG needing high maintenance-living in fear of. Even this.....is smoke & mirrrors, OK?

How can they not know they are award-winning alienating & their own worst enemies in trying to make a sale to a seriously interested buyer????? How can they not know this? Are they CRETINS?

I couldn't stand it....I just send Nannnceee this:

Hello again, Nancy,

Again, I am awaiting clear closeup image of corner underside of the rug with a ruler along the wefts. Will help me immeasurably.

I am also, naturally, considering alternatives, as I am in serious, focused search of the Right Rug, i.e, an Indo Kashan of high quality offered by another ebay vendor....and a Sarouk being offered at auction in MA. I've been approved to participate in the auction, which is Sat AM......so, hope to receive the pic from you before.

I recall you once said I was a perfectionist. Not true.....I am smart and discerning. Also integrity driven. Were everyone else.....we wouldn't be in the mess unfolding as I write this. Course, we all know that, right?

Jill

I needed to poke huh wit a stick, I could not wait. These sticks can be very finely pointed. As per my raising issues of integrity and the economic meltdown they are clearly being impacted by & which is galvanizing their felonious propensities. Plus it's all true: the neo is the one Pro likes wit da giant globs in the field, from Daniel in Englewood, whose pic I am also waiting on.

OK, let us now ENVISION in scale reference: the diameter of an official NBA basketballl of the sort nimbly employed by LeBron James, etc......not miniscule things those are......is INTERESTINGLY, exactly HALF what the globs are: basketballs are nine inches in diameter. Many of the globs.....are EIGHTEEN INCHES IN DIAMETER. Exactly twice as enormous!!!

Now let us THINK ABOUT THAT. Is that, underfoot, repeated within the field and border of a 9 X12 rug....not a little terrifying??
Try nothing but net from the 3 zone.....with those globs!! Not even MJ back in The day could have managed this!
________________________________
Wrong! I have truly lost my mind. Obviously a B ball is way bigger. Were it only 9 inches......even I could play. I will now Google.
No, I was right! It is, in fact around 9' in diameter! So the above was not insane and it stands.

Now I will make a pic to illustrate the reality of the GLOBS.
-________________________________

Well, this DID not quite work. It did not bring home the reality as it will be in the flesh. Or, the Wool, as it Were. Now, while the principle blight of the garbage rug is the color of the field, dark blue, another pathetic is the size of the wheat spray field designs. they are, despite being fine, and even graceful in their details.....TOO BIG. Below is looking down on the center detail, not exactly medallion but kinda... with a rule I have marked at 18" Remember, the globs are in color and shape, essentially solid. That....is why they are called GLOBS, Ok?

Next, I an convinced, if I could get far away enough from the garbage rug to capture it in a single shot---I can not---it would look really attractive in the pic.. It is only the reality in person......that makes humans wanna throw up. I guess, except for the people in my building who actually BOUGHT it. But remember, they.....THREW IT OUT.

Prolley after 6 years in THERAPY to identify the cause of their DEPRESSION, Ok?

Addendum in service of objectivity: to be fair, I was initially and intensely attracted to the neo Mashad wit da globs too. In the pic, I still am! The reason I did not get the globs until I focused and scaled and measured them, is the field of this rug is peachy keen defining! It is glorious color, and SO INITIALLY, this OBFUSCATED the GLOB issue in the PIC.

I now try to see a given rug on some actual floor in my head. e.g., the maybe silk, maybe not, doubling in price every 15 mins, soon to be PRICELESS AND 700 KPSI and with a rap sheet, Nancy rug......has far more colors than any rug I have seen, the colors are all bright; the detail in the rug is dense & mind blowing. And yet, as a presence, I think it all works---it morphs from distilled in tone to expanding into softness. I think, in the flesh, it would be a joyous, happy, luminous presence but still PERIPHERAL.

Edit: Jus looked at the peachy glob rug again. It is still pretty, tho these reservations are serious.. Would be ironic if I ended up with it, right? Meanwhile, I have yet to see the pic Daniel promised me. He sends me funny mails from is Blackberry. He was suppsoed to be back today and make the pic. I am tired of the tapdancing. I think yet another wrongly represented knot count issue. I could be wrong. I hope I am.
