During my AM mania.....I emailed new rug people I found via Google. So many I can't even remember. I was just desperate to learn and get the ACCURAT4E DATA I NOW INSIST ON, esp about actual origins of "new" Sarouks and Kork.
Part of me is out of control, Satan occupies my body and makes me bid on rugs I know are not right for me and know WHY; or...I "decide" this is totally it, and then more data & confusion arrives.....that part of me is cause I want this over. The better part of me is on more important autopilot to chase those data so I do Not end up again being a chump as I was when I sold my Sarouk to the Opportunists.
Pro may be right about the Kork Crock. Alas. I just did not want him to be cause I JUST WANT MY RUG, OK?????? And I needed the neo SarouK with the navy borders and the confirmed 180 KPSI to be IT. It was, however briefly.
Below, I will paste some remarkable emails in response to a couple of my queries:
Jill,
There is nothing attached to your enquire to know what is what you are referring to as “the price of this one”.
My second guess is that you are referring to our new Sarouks as part of our Farahan Sarouk Collection. They are all made in India from virgin wool. Their knot count is about 225PSI which is considered fine for their type. These Sarouks, as most rugs today, are tea washed for older/ more authentic look.
There are new Sarouk rugs made in Persia today. Our Persian Sarouk rugs are not new though. Most of ours are from the 1930s.
Can you be somewhat more specific to what size you are looking for and what colors you like.
Thank you.
Best regards,

This next: sit down.....I posted my initial mail elsewhere, I think, but will include it herein:
They are making new serouks but not for the Western markets. As far as kork wool, they say they are using it but how would we ever know. They also say they aren't making nuclear weapons. Thank you

Greetings.
Lovely site. Hand knotted with high KPSI. lol If I may take advantage by asking this question: are neo Sarouks being made now in Iran of Kork wool?
Bless you for any data you might provide,
Jill
