I parked both of these in My ebay a while ago. Both are from Matt, the "it has color run cause it has been washed' guy (with the very attractive & total junk Mashad) in North Carolina.

First one little blinding---we iwll now call this The Oedipus Rug*--- & too wide, 10 feet, that width would mean part of it would be under the Chesterfield.....but would make a good Prairie dress for any female in a cult in Utah....cept they do solid colors. No rule or coin on the underside, but don't the KPSI look better than average? They are listed at maybe 120. But true, how can anyone tell?

Second one, Pro made positive comment about.....prolley out of pity. From same vendor; I remember emailing them, Given it is new, is it available in slightly smaller size? And they mailed back, what size do you need? (Honest.) I never responded cause I was focused on their colored with Rit....Mashad.

I liked the colors, and while boring, felt it also has harmony in a wall covering kinda way......if no kinda real splendor. Real splendor costs bigtime. I get that now.

I believe we have a remnant of this in our passenger elevator. The lobby attendants vacuum it several times a day. Last part is true, first part just Jilly.

I like this first one. No idea on the KPSI, do not think attribution is 100 percent correct. Weave is not hamadan, but it reminds me of the older Hosseinabad rugs with the smaller spandrels and repeating herati design. The only thing of concern to me would be the border which appears to have some inconsistent colors, but the colors in general for the field are much better in my opinion than the latter one you posted above.

U are very ON today, Pro. Bless U. First, re Hosseinabad....does anyone question how bad a despot Hosseina was??? No! But did not justify the war or the war crimes. (I make myself laugh a lot.)

Believe it not, I like the border. Tho in the width at 10 feet, again the long ends wowld be, at least in part under some furniture.

Hummm....perhaps I will mail Matt about this. Cause I so do not already trust him re the color run from washing.....I will expect little and take what he says not as Gospel. It is good, I now see, to to get the I totally do not trust you part over early. hahahahahaha.

Attribution not 100% accurate? How Uneeewwwww-sual!!!

Regard the label. What have they crossed out before writing Sarouk? Last two letters "AL" I have no clue.

i know, I must wait for a reply, but I get scared someone may not see an edit. Regard the long shot of the entire rug. See the grid pattern the field design comprises? What is that??? Have you ever seen its like before? If so, does it help determine the real origin of the rug?

Are you talking about the grid pattern in this rug?

Can I design my own uniform?

is this now JILLY'S RUG?!?!?! I can see a bit of the color run in the upper right corner. there may be other areas too. Sounds like he's being straight forward. I guess the thing to do now is decide how you feel about the condition and whether or not the furniture position is going to be okay. If it matters much, I would ask if the medallion is centered, some people don't mind, but if it's important, that's a good thing to get out of the way other than the color run, low pile, repairs, etc.

Cute. No, Jilly rug still gestating...and let us remember, elephants are pregnant for two years so I ought not complain. Allow me to clarify; my take is Matt did not get the rug I earlier emailed about: The maybe Sarouk but who knows, NFL rug wit da GRID. The one We.....are addressing.

Felt this right off and responded to him, response is pasted above......cause he said, "....as we discussed on the phone." Fact is, I never discussed this rug with him in this, or any OTHER LIFE. Everything he said was re the Mashad, I think. Meaning, I doubt I have ANY CONDITION DATA RE THIS RUG.

So, if I am right, Matt is overloaded and I need to wait for his reply to my "Focus, Matt, let us get on the same rug" mail.

I found another, a Lilihan. I will now make new thread.

Update:

Yes, as usual, Pro was right. New Mail from Matt....and the low end sarok, which I never discussed with him but which he got right.the one wit da grids I kinda like and Pro kinda likes....,.despite he lists it as excellent, has issues. How Pro saw color run I have NO IDEA. I like this guy is upfront.
Dear ariesjill,

Hi,
This rug has a full pile, but it has some color runs, and it is not 100% stright.
Thanks

- queensrug

It is Murphy's Rug Law: whatever can go wrong will go wrong. Unless, that is, U have deep pockets. then, findng the rug you luv....takes a day. I am a little numb.

yes, but in consideration of price range these rugs are just about expected.

Good to keep in mind. Bottom line; nothing under $1,200 isn't garbage. And all I saw in my head is basically %K and up. No wonder I am more retroactively depressed each day. Baptism by Fire re the Real Rug World.

Even Matt in NC--I am now liking & respecting Matt---said on phone....."...but to replace yr rug (which I summed up 4 him)....would be at least 5K! Compared to that, these rugs are NOTHING> THAT is verbatim. Do people still paint rugs? It's a serious question, however naive. OK even should such a human be alive....the painting was to DEEPEN THE FIELD COLOR. Nobody could change a deep navy field-guardband color. Not even God.

Now I feel sorry for the Wicked Ugly rug. Cause it can't help it and nothing can change it.....and it is mad really well I now get. It coulda been a Contender. But not in this life.
