I am posting these together since they are very similar and likely the same worth. The seller told me these have a market value of $500 each but I could have them at half-price for $250 each. He did tell me these are Turkish and I do believe they are. HOWEVER, from what I have found searching the web a fair price for these would be about $75 each. Other opinions are greatly appreciated.

The size of "Rug 1" is .87 x .63 and "Rug 2" is .86 x .61 both in metric, these are like a doormat.

My other concern is that I was told the quality of wool was very high which would allow these to repel dirt and be a terrific value for my daughters lifetimes.

THANK YOU!

ANother question I have is why are all the initials on the back of these rugs? The seller told me they were "quality checks", I do not believe a word out of this persons mouth!

In my opinion $250 is steep. I didn't go through all the photographs, but I saw enough to say this appears to be a Turkish rug. The letters on the back could be anything really - sometimes these are written on by the weaver for ID, sometimes it could be consignment info... there a lot of things it could be. The story about quality control could be bogus, but who knows.

Please post in feet and inches!

I truly apologize about the metric!!!

These I was fairly certain were Turkish after the research I have done to this point. I do question the quality on the wool. In fact, I question everything from this seller. If I wasn't looking at paying the return shipping, I would have already mailed them back!!! I'm just thinking if I can come to a fair agreement I'll keep them as long as they are not pure garbage.

These measure: Rug 1 - 2'7" x 2', Rug 2 - 2'8" x 2'

I think this is a course quality Kayseri or Sivas Turkish rug. I have had little experience with Turkish market value, however, from my experience, I think $85-115 per piece would be "fair retail market price" after all sales discounts have been applied given brand new condition with no unseen problems. It's a course knot count so far as most Turkish weavings go.

THANK YOU!

Again, about what I am thinking after research.

So by a coarse quality, does this make it inferior? Or just simply not as fine as some others?

In relation to other Turkish rugs, this knot density is comparatively low
