Ok, this is wierd. After reading some of the craigslist posts here, I remember seeing a rug for $300 awhile back. It had been posted several different times, so there must not be much interest in it. I was going to go search for it, and when I clicked on the furniture tab, guess what was at the top of the page, at a discount, $200?

nice looking rug, but when they refer to points per meter, it's usually a machine made rug. I stay away from machine made when it comes to resale.

Thats what i thought. I did a little checking, and all rugs I found with the name eleite or excellon, were all machine made. Thanks for your expertise.

excellon is another name for polyproylene - actually a trademarked name for a "version" of it. Another name commonly found for like fiber is olefin.

Yeah, anything that you can't pronounce or doesn't say 100% "wool," "silk," "cotton" probably isn't anything that was ever walking around, ya know? :)

Yes, first thing that leaped out at me in the seller's post was the material. OK for packing peanuts.....also has the half life of nuclear waste.
