I like the dog in the first photo, meant to mention that. Otherwise, I can't say general value unless seeing the whole rug. What I can tell you is there are some conditional issues. This rug shows some moth damage at the corners,
blooming of the wool, signs of wear, loss to fringe, etc. Probably not too old a rug 1950's sounds just about right. It looks like a Kerman milfleur which means it's likely a rug from Kerman in Persia, with a Milfleur design which translates to "thousand flowers" from french but often integrated into Lavar kerman rugs around the turn of 1900 and slightly before. This is a newer rendition as stated.
One of the photographs the rug showed up to have lighter spots. Often this can be interpreted as slightly lower pile. It could be worth a couple bucks because it's a very pretty rug with decent kpsi but again, we would need to see more photographs because it seems as though there are some condition issues. What I see somewhere in the area of
190 to 225 KPSI.
