Hello! Generally, the more photographs you post, the better we'll be able to help you ou. The rug in the photo posted does look like a Nain design, although it could also pass for a machine made carpet. We'll need to see more specific photographs of the fringe, the back of the rug, the edges, and specific information that you're requesting on and about this particular rug.

Looking forward to being of help

Thank you very much. I was trying to make a quick decision if I should take it to auction. Fortunately, I didn't. I went to a very reputable dealer. He stated it is a Kashan made in the 70's with the blue colors making it much like a Nian. He stated the retail is $53 per ft or around $9,000. I am putting it on Craiglist, since I don't know how else to sell it, for $4,200.

I will be glad to put more pictures with a quarter on the back for Kpsi etc. when I get back from a business trip on Thursday.

I do appreciate your response.

Sounds interesting, thank you for sharing, I certainly would be interested to see more photos! It does look a lot like a Nain design.
