I am sure you have noticed that the piece is an Indian one with a Persian Gonbad design. Even from the photo the wool and the dyes do not look that good. I am always concerned when a dealer quotes a very inflated price as a recommended selling price i.e $7500 and then offers the piece at a fraction i.e. $1500. I think it is the sort of piece that looks better in the photo than real life. Try and look at the Persian original and you will be able to see even from the photos what the difference is.
Anyway I might be a bit bias. It is still handmade but it will not have too much of a second hand value.
