Hello

I didn't get any feedback on the forum however I had some positive advice privately for which I am very grateful. I bought both carpets yesterday.

The vendor maintains that the Qum silk 'garden' design is late 70's. I am separately advised that the signature reads 'Qum Pirouzmand'

Knots per inch is around 22 so say 475 KPSI. Size is 3m x 1.9m. Some photos:

And some detail of the Tabriz. This looks to my un-expert eye to be a very good weave and around 46 RAJ.







I would be very grateful for a follow up opinion on age, confirmation of point of origin, assessment of quality and a ballpark estimate of UK/European value (as I will have to insure these at some point.. I have no intention of selling them.. love both of these)

Oh, I paid around US dollars 12,000 for the Qum and 2,000 dollars for the Tabriz

The Tabriz is new, the Qum is late 1990´s. Good you bought them, nice pieces.
