Hi,
I am looking for a nice rug to put under the dining table. I would like at least 400,000 - 500,000 knots each m2. It can be used as long it is in good shape.

I like the typical Nain - look, but I have also seen other rugs that I like. The colours i am looking for is white / blue ish - to match the chairs and the living room.

The budget is approx. 2,500 $.

To give you examples:

Can you trust sites like Etsy?

The two rugs on ETSY are from my collection. The larger one is a Kashan (250.000 knots m²) the smaller one is a real Nain (above 400.000 knots per m²).

I don´t have all my rugs on ETSY or other platforms - you can find

Kashan 11 x 8 ft

It also has 250.000 knots per square meter, but it is a little better wool quality than the rug on ETSY.

If you want a new, real 9 la Nain 6 m² of good quality in this size you should calculate somewhere at 3600 - 4200 USD plus VAT. Tabbas or Neishapour would be less in price, EUR 1500 - 2500 in 300 x 200 cm.

Hi,
how old is the Nain-carpet - and in which condition? Do you know who in Nain that made it?

No, the rug is not signed. The condition is as new. I sold it to a Lady in the 1990´s for a formal guest room. I guess in all the years, only the cleaning lady walked over it. It came back as a trade in when she re-modeled the house and needed a different style for the room.
