https://www.flickr.com/photos/9076360@N04/Hi, has anyone gotten a written on-line appraisal for a rug that was accurate, reasonable and accepted by their home owner's insurance company (or filed a claim with an on-line appraisal, without a problem)? I took some of my rugs in to local shops, first shop charged $125 and gave a very high value for my rug. Took some of my other rugs in (to a different shop) was charged $150 plus $50 for each additional rug, I thought their values were low, to the point where I questioned the appraiser on the replacement value, as I don't think I could buy a similar rug at the price they said it was worth. Now, thinking of trying a on-line appraisal, but not sure if insurance will accept it, don't want to keep wasting money on this, but would like proper coverage, in case anything happens to them (they are all hanging on the walls, as art). Here's 2 rugs, any comments, recommendations, idea of value or any other useful info would be nice. https://www.flickr.com/photos/9076360@N04/The green center rug, 3'8"x6', 78 yrs old, Sadegh Seyrafyian, other Isfahan rug 1950's 3'7"x 5'4"; both excellent condition.
