Hi everyone-

I have this Turkmen Bokhara Elephant Foot Rug that is 112x196 ad 100% wool. The design seems very consistent with the Turkmen style but the colors have the orange or apricot in the border which seems that it would be woven in the 1970s or 1980s? Does this sound right or am I in a complete different time period. Also what is the line design in the guls actually called? Any other information would be great too. This seems like something you would buy for $500 if I am correct.

Thanks for your help!!

I am afraid it looks like an Afghan piece to me and around 1990s. As for how much "you" would buy it, it will depend on the you. Me I wouldnt but in a shop it probably would be around $400. It is a good, pretty piece but it is not quite what you thought it is.
