A Turkish kilim with Caucasian design

Just thought I would post this for anyone interested in (fine? unusual?) kilims...

Size .97 m2. Cotton on a silk warp. I was told it is approx. 15-20 yrs old.

This kilim is a copy of a kilim that is in a Turkish museum.

I know very little about kilims, my primary interest is in pile rugs...I would appreciate any opinions about fineness/workmanship, rarity and estimated market value.

It is a very fine kilim. I am not sure about the colours from your images but they appear to be chemical dyes with machinespun wool. New the price would be high but in my opinion it does not have a very high second hand value. My judgement may have a bit to do with the fact that I dont really like this kilim as new but as an antique I believe it would have a totally different character.
