Hello, I recently purchased this rug because I loved the pattern and color combination. The seller told me it is Tabriz, made within the past 30 years. It is 8 ft by 8 ft. I bought it because I loved it, but am interested in any details because I like knowing the background of things like that. Any help people can provide would be greatly appreciated.

It is a Tabriz Mahi (fish) design. It is probably about 10 to 15 years old. They have been very much in demand in the home market. The older ones, about 50 years old and older are even more in demand, but very difficult to find.
